The Loose Cannon. Fishbones rocket form kiting, Zap root prediction, and Super Mega Death Rocket cross-map snipes.
ADC Marksman · The Loose Cannon.
Jinx's Q (Switcheroo) toggles between two weapon forms. Pow-Pow (minigun) ramps up attack speed on consecutive hits — optimal for single-target DPS. Fishbones (rocket launcher) has longer range and AoE splash at the cost of attack speed and mana. Mastering the weapon swap timing is critical — use Pow-Pow for sustained fights and Fishbones for poke and AoE.
W (Zap) fires a long-range slow that reveals the target — use it for poke, peel, and checking bushes. E (Flame Chompers) throws 3 traps that root and damage enemies — excellent for self-peel and zone control. R (Super Mega Death Rocket) is a global execute that deals damage based on missing HP, with the splash radius scaling with distance traveled.
Jinx is a weak early laner who needs to scale. Farm safely with Fishbones rockets, using the extra range to avoid enemy poke. Coordinate with your support — Jinx pairs well with engage supports who can set up her traps and W. Around level 6, look for R snipes on low-HP enemies across the map.
Wave management is key — freeze the wave near your tower to farm safely. Against aggressive bot lanes, max W first for longer poke range and slow. Save E strictly for self-peel against ganks. Jinx's Get Excited passive makes her incredibly dangerous in early skirmishes if she gets a takedown.
Jinx is the ultimate hypercarry teamfighter. Start the fight with Fishbones rockets at max range to safely AoE the enemy team. Once a takedown triggers Get Excited, switch to Pow-Pow for maximum DPS as you clean up. The movespeed from the passive makes Jinx nearly impossible to catch once she starts snowballing.
Position behind your frontline — Jinx has no dash and relies on her team to peel. Use E to zone flanks and W to slow approaching divers. Save R for execute on priority targets or to snipe fleeing enemies. Jinx's teamfighting power with 3+ items is unmatched among ADCs.
Start Doran's Blade. Kraken Slayer is the first core item — the true damage proc synergizes with Jinx's attack speed. Infinity Edge for 35% crit damage. Phantom Dancer for movespeed and attack speed ramp-up against single targets.
Lord Dominik's Regards for tank shred. Bloodthirster for sustain. Guardian Angel for teamfight insurance. Boots are Berserker's Greaves. Consider Rapid Firecannon for extended range on Fishbones.
Jinx scales into most matchups. She struggles against lane bullies (Draven, Caitlyn, Lucian) who punish her weak early game. Against dive comps (Zed, Nocturne, Hecarim), save E for self-peel and build early GA. Jinx excels in games where her team can peel and enemy has limited dive.
